There is NO better place to receive a college education.

I hold 2 degrees from Miami and cherish every moment I spent there.

The picturesque campus. Uptown and all its fun. The quality of the education you receive. The people. The house names. The traditions. The camaraderie among alumni.

It's honestly the perfect college town.
Hey, Robert Frost even said.. "the most beautiful campus that ever there was".

There are a lot of traditions at Miami and 2 are featured in this photo.
You can see Miami's seal in the center of the round brick.  Do NOT step on the seal or you'll fail your  next exam.  Hundreds of students will be walking and coming from all directions and all will avoid the seal.
Upham Arch is a place for love :)  If you kiss your sweetheart at midnight under the lantern within the arch, the two of you are destined to marry and become Miami Mergers (Mergers are a pretty big deal and even receive a valentine from the university every year).

Juicing

Day 1 of breakfast juicing is complete and was a success!  Didn't follow a recipe and kinda just did what I wanted and it was yummy!

Skeptical???

• Fruits/veggies can be expensive
• Would you rather pay for healthy foods or future hospital bills/medications?
• The juice is replacing a meal, therefore replacing the price of foods that you regularly would have eaten.
• I love food
• I DO TOO!!
• You can make your own plan. I'm not the biggest breakfast person (unless doughnuts are involved) so I'm currently just juicing breakfast.
• You're getting a lot of great nutrients and doing something GOOD for yourself.

Just Another Day

I went to the market downtown with my mom this morning and we enjoyed a panini and tabouli for lunch. YUM!  If you live in Dayton and haven't been to the market, I would recommend it!!

We also bought a juicer today.  Stay tuned to see how juicing my breakfasts go...

My R left for Africa today.  How does hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro and a safari sound to ya???  Dreaming of the day I make it to Africa..  Ever since I can remember I have wanted to volunteer and give all those children big hugs and find ways to make them smile!  One day, one day!!

I'm not a fan of viewing it as a "Hallmark holiday".  It's a time to show appreciation to the ones you love.  Here are 2 of my "14 days of Valentine's Day" goodies I sent to the one I love...

Half Birthday (1/18/13)

It's my half birthday - woo hoo!  I'm always looking for a reason to celebrate something ;)

The sun is out.  It's shining.  It's Friday.  So naturally, I'm missing my best friends!!  They are sprawled out from Fort Lauderdale to NYC to Minneapolis to LA.

Slacking (1/17/13)

I need to get my blogging act together! I haven't posted in quite a while, oops.  Still learning everything and hoping to make my blog pretty and fun soon :)

After getting home from vacation, I spent a lot of time unpacking/organizing all of my belongings from the apartment I had during grad school.  Who knew I had so much stuff!

A lot of time has also been dedicated to job searching. Hoping for my luck to pick up!!  I would love to work in a children's hospital :) My degree is in Health Promotion and my undergrad is in Early Childhood Education.  We'll see how things go, fingers crossed!!

A New Year (1/2/13)

I have a feeling this upcoming year is going to be a big one for me.  A lot of exciting things and little moments are ahead, so why not document them to watch them unfold!

I started 2013 in one of the best ways possible.. With my boyfriend/bestfriend/funnyguy in CABO!
